Copenhagen

Denmark!

What a wonderful charming place this is!  If I could handle the cold and speak Danish I would seriously  consider moving here!  The people are oh so very friendly, come to find out they are one of the happiest countries in the world!  Oh yeah, got to love that, good stuff!  All of the architecture is so charming, every building I pass I have an absolute obsession with.  They are all dressed with fun colors and pretty detailing.

We touched down yesterday and were able to go down into the middle of the city.  Turns out yesterday was national reading day and so they gave out free books and hot chocolate to every one!  It was so charming!  We got got meat and cheese and some bread and ate it as we fed the little crumbs to our little pigeon friends, they quite liked it.

Because of the time difference we woke up in the wee hours of the morning and got to scope out the town before the hustle and bustle of the day.  I found out the Dains have caught onto a marvelous idea! Get this chocolate on your cinnamon roll, brilliant right!  I would have thought I would have already thought to do that, I am for sure bringing that idea back to the states with me!

 The Marble church

The canal boat tour!  So beautiful!

mum and scotty on the tour, so charming, now look at that smile...

Harry Potter shout out!  We found a lil chocolate frog! I felt like a little childhood dream had come true!  One step closer to becoming a wizard!

My mom brother and I were able to go to the Copenhagen LDS (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints) temple!
So beautiful!

If you want to know why I am so into temples, they are pretty incredible!

spring Spring SPRING!

                                                         It is spring time!!
I wish I could have a really big megaphone like Oprah, when she is announcing her give aways! It is really one of the most beautiful times of the year might I add.  I used to love the scene from Bambi where all the little critters come out to play and see all the pretty flowers!  Oh man!  The trees full of bloom this year are killing me!  I mean can you say g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! I do not think I really appreciated spring as much as I should until this year.   I grew up in California, then spent a few years in tropical Hawaii, then got to get some southern lovin in good ole Alabama for a few years, (spring there lasts for a few days and then its all hot and humid, it is good for the pores ;)  and now here I am loving all the blossoms in this state of Utah!  mmmhhhhmm,  I feel like I should be dancing down the street, picking up all the wild flowers.  Aren't the seasons just beautiful!  It really reminded me of how kind and loving Father in Heaven is!! Amazing!  To think He creates incredible sunsets, every little flower, oceans, lakes, river, oranges, pinecones and especially my favorite... drum roll please.... puppies just for us!!!! Oh man He is good!! Think about how much love that is, I mean when I was little to show my mom I loved her I made her a cheerio necklace, and not going to lie I was not good at it!  I know that its not that hard but trust me.  But think about all the Father has blessed us with!! I hope you can feel it has he kisses you as a parent would kiss their little child when the sun rays gently glide across your face!  I hope you feel His love when a soft breeze blows your face.  Remember that every thing is here because He loves you and it all makes life oh so much more fun!!! I hope as you walk down the street this spring afternoon you have a little extra bounce in your step, and think, dang life is good, real good!  Because you matter to Him!

I love this spring song!!! woot woot!!!   This is an old classic!! 7 Brides for 7 Brothers! I used to love watching this with my Grandma Zola when I was little! Never gets old!!

They called me on a mission!!

I am going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints!   I am so excited, nervous, anxious, scared, happy, and lucky to be able  to go on a mission!! I have pretty much always wanted to go, I have been hearing about missions since well, since my birth. Both my mom and my dad had both served missions and they talked about how amazing they are.  My mom served in England and my dad in Germany.  You could say my mom is a bit ….Obsessed with England, when you walk into our home you might think you were in an English cottage in the country side.  We have English pillows and phone boxes all around the home, even a REAL phone box in our backyard,(don't worry we are still digging our Country go USA).  My dad learned German and growing up I have always loved hearing him speak it.  My parents have taught me how wonderful and exciting it it to be a missionary for our Lord and savior.  I mean I will be able to share the news of the Love of our savior and how families are able to live together forever, lucky me!  It is the thing that is nearest to my heart and I get to tell anyone I can, SWWWEET!!

So I may not be going to Germany like my Papa or England like my mama but I get to go to….Birmingham Alabama!

(this is after I opened my call)
In our church if you want  to serve a mission first you have to go through interviews and then you have your name sent of and then the church chooses where you are sent to.  Chooses where I am going to spend the next 18 wonderful trying times of my good ole life!

I am excited to go to Alabama, maybe I will even come back with an accent, haha or not.  I don't want to be one of those weird people who go to England for a week and come back with an English accent, its like Hello, so yeah not going to try to be a poser.

I got my call the day after thanksgiving and I had no idea where I was going to go, now I cant wait to be in the south!  I have never been to Alabama so this will be quite the adventure :)

Super Bowl

Wooohoo its that time of year again, bust out the chips and salsa and feed meeeee!   Yeah eating and watching commercials would have to be my favorite part.  Don't get me wrong I am very impressed with each and everyone of these men running with great speed, tackling, and throwing the football with there rock hard arms.  SKILLLLLLS!  So here is my favorite commercial!  Hope it brings a smile to your face like it does to mine!

home

Wow it is so wonderful to be home with the family!
From being away at school this year I realized how much I need them in my life.  Family is so special, they are the people who will always be there for you no matter what!  I love my family so much!  They make me feel so loved and taken care of!  I do not know what I would do without them!

Cavity!

I have always loved Chocolate, you could say it is my weakness.  Sees candy has always been used by my mom to bribe me, it always worked.  I never thought there was any down side to this magical creation but I have begun to find out my teeth don't seem to like it quite as much as my tummy does.  Yes I have Cavities!  haha  Well I am kind of odd and love brushing my teeth and flossing so the dentist was always kind of fun for me until the cavity.   Today I had once again a filling, I feel like an old lady with missing teeth mixed with a giraffe, you know when they keep licking the side of their mouth, yes that happens to be me right now,I am like that creature.  Well, half my face in numb and somehow half my ear is as well.  I remember in junior high I had a filling and I had to go right back to class with a numb face and people thought it was funny to tell me I was drooling, even though I wasn't, but hey, I had no idea, I couldn't feel half my face.  Well, at least it made life more entertaining for people.  I know am just sitting and anticipating the hour when I get the feeling back into my face.
