thank you to the mama and the papa

25 good old years ago my parents said I do! They promised to be with each other forever and ever through the eternities. That day they started the Bush family starring Carol and Steve, they probably had no idea of some of the things they were going to be encountering over the years, like having your son stuck in a porta potty or having kids think it would be fun to make a trail of frosted flakes through the house for the stray dog to follow, having your son jump into the flamingos water at the zoo to get his hat back, finding their kid playing in the toilet, leaving your kid at the house you were teepeeing, having a suite case fly off the top of your car while on the freeway, or having countless heads stuck in the banister. Well life has been one big adventure! One of may favorites is when my family was in Germany and we were trying to get to church but all of the roads were blocked off for a gay and lesbian parade, so instead of getting to see where my dad served his mormon mission we got to see men in high heels wearing shells, quite different from what we were expecting. It has really been an adventure! Since the bush clan began on May 16th 1986 it has really expanded I mean really, well for starters they threw in a couple kids, Diane came along first, yay good ol DD! Then Doug, then me! then we had our pet rats who are gone, some died from the sun and some got loose in our house ( you can only imagine how fun that must had been). Then Doug brought home a little friend chicken some lady at a Dodger game gave him ( a little weird but thats what happened) he lasted like um a few hours. Then Scotty came into our lives, yep incase you were wondering he is still around. We had to go through 1 bunny, 3 frogs,1 tortise, a whole lot of fish, 4 chickens, 4 hamsters, a couple of Jack in the box cups filled with sand crabs (they didnt last the car ride home) and a duck to come to the realization Buzz our perfect little dog ( besides his sudden bowel movements and barf attacks) is the perfect addition to our family! I mean sometimes my mom even calls some of us buzz,I think he has even gotten child of the day. I have loved growing up and being a bush even if my dog has come before me a few times (therapy has healed that) life has been a fun adventure. my parents have given me countless experiences where I was able to have fun and learn, my family has grown so close, they are my best friends. We also have Ryan who married in and now is a wonderful older brother, he fits in perfectly! I have loved having a mom who can soothe me to sleep with her beautiful voice and also be pretty darn fun, she can make panties on your head look cool (really). And my papa, I do just adore him, he is the one who will always be there to listen to me and tell me everything is going to be okay, he has magical hugs, when you are embraced in his arms you know nothing in the world can harm you. I have loved learning how to golf from this brilliant man, I have loved our long talks as me cruise down the fairway in our little cart. I really could not ask for a better family,I love my parents and I love my siblings! I have had so much fun in these last 18 years, I am excited to see what the next 25 will look like, sounds fun to me!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!
